Support of hardware, software, and data related systems.  Installation and support will include, but not be limited to the following: file, applications and database servers, switching, routing, wiring, communication links, workstations, laptops and Winterms, printers, e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, accounting software, telecommunication software, HTTP and HTTPS support, development tools and databases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent IT work experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT industry experience is required
  • Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities
  • Strong Windows Server operations and administration
  • Strong DNS/DHCP operations and administration
  • Strong virtualization experience, VMware vSphere preferred
  • Strong operations experience, VMware vRealize Operations preferred
  • Experience with automation and scripting, VMware vRealize Automation preferred
  • Experience with disaster recovery failover, VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) preferred
  • Experience with enterprise storage, NetApp, flash storage arrays preferred
  • Experience with enterprise backups, VEEAM preferred
  • Experience with Active Directory operations, domain and forest, preferred
  • Experience with AIX, Linux a plus

  • Ability to design business solutions upon technical, application and business requirement
  • Superior customer facing and technical skills including ability to develop trust relationship with peers
  • Establish and perform infrastructure and cloud best practices
  • Methodical approach to problem solving and resolution
  • Identify security risks to the organization and suggest mitigations
  • Development of deployment and test plans
  • Participate in project management activities
  • Participate in change management, ITIL activities
  • Participate in support on-call rotation
  • Perform periodic administrative maintenance on infrastructure
  • Problem analysis following any service issues to prevent recurrence
  • Create and maintain standard operations documentation as it relates to server and network topology, equipment and configuration(s)
