This position reports directly to the Director Portfolio Strategy & Development. The project manager leads and directs strategic projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration. Responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle from request, assessment, planning, execution, monitoring, and optimization. This role combines not only traditional project management, but also a strong degree of business process and organizational transformation analysis. The project manager is tasked with delivering solutions that are systematic, nimble and scalable that incorporates business process management, advanced technology solutions and the impact on organizational culture and transformation. Strong focus will be placed on ensuring those solutions meet the targeted business objectives. Responsible for scoping and detailed project planning, assembling project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, and tracking and facilitating project execution to ensure timely completion of projects. Interfaces with all areas of the company being affected by the project. Ensures adherence to quality and data governance standards. This role also serves as a resource to coach and mentor others within the organization on project management methodologies. Extensive and targeted communication on project status and goals with the ability to effectively present that to all levels of the organization.Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Technology or related from a four-year college or University Project Management Certification or equivalent, Six Sigma, Lean or related certification desired, but not required
Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related, Experience in strategic planning a STRONG PLUS
Demonstrated experience in the following:
Project management including portfolio management
Resource management
Vendor relationship management
Critical thinking and problem solving techniques
Change management tactics
Business process improvement and management
Managing large scale teams
Quantification of outcomes and measurements
Budgetary responsibilities to include budget tracking and reporting
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; Intermediate use of Microsoft desktop applications to include Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project; Strong team building and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

Provides effective project management by employing practical, proven project management methodology and tools & techniques.
Ensures a common understanding of project goals by setting and managing expectations.
Facilitates change management, focuses on process integration/analysis and measurements for success.
Identifies project resource needs and assembles and manages the project team to ensure timely focus on the project activities.
Quantifies and articulates desired outcomes and measurements to include costs, benefits, and return on investment.
Analyzes impact on business processes and handoffs between departments/functions, and leads the team to identify and implement process improvements to benefit the business.
Establishes priorities which meet the project goals and objectives, and identify areas of improvement.
Provides and maintains all detailed project documentation including but not limited to project definition, roadmaps, project plans, business requirements, test plans, etc.
Coordinates the gathering of requirements to define the scope and deliverables of the project in collaboration with leadership, process owners and operational team members.
Creates strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning.
Anticipates potential schedule or priority delays and initiates plans for alternative actions.
Resolves problems, identifies trends, and determines process/ system improvements
Coordinates the efforts of the functional departments that instills cross ownership and shared accountability.
Organizes and presents information to foster creative thinking.
Communicates from the top down and bottom up regarding the team responsibilities, target dates, project status, resource needs and provides general project communication as needed.
Fosters clear communication and synchronize activities amount multiple projects and teams.
Builds mutual trust and encourages respect and cooperation among team members.
Provides Project Management training and mentoring within the organization.
Possesses strong organizational, presentation and customer service skills.
Identifies best practice solutions and information technology applications/ data structures.
Manages relationships with vendors.
Provides input into contract negotiation.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
