Network Security Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Primary responsibilities include performing analysis, troubleshooting and remediation of data/security networks and devices
• Support, tune and harden Apache Webserver and Tomcat
• Monitor and remediate web vulnerabilities thru WAF and consultation with development group
• Configure and Maintain Cloud network security with various vendors
• Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
• Create and resolve security tickets through internal and external ticketing systems.
• Analyze internal and external traffic patterns for anomalies.
• Partner with Risk team to analyze and remediate fraudulent customer activity
• Backup to Network Engineer and secondarily responsible for supporting:
• Nexus Switches
• Cisco ASA Firewalls
• SIP Telco integrations with outside telco vendors and remote facilities
• Position requires on call support for security and network incidents, including travel to corporate office and remote datacenter
• Manage and maintain cloud services and networks

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1+ years experience with Cisco networks, firewalls, and UCS
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Nexus switches and VPC required
• IDS/IPS solutions
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in implementation, troubleshooting & administration of F5 LTM and ASM
• Log Management Solutions (LogRhythm or Splunk)
• Malware monitoring and prevention
• Tomcat/Apache
• Familiarity with Java coding concepts (desired)
• Cloud security (AWS or Azure)
• 2+ years of networking experience, including analyzing & troubleshooting networks
• Industry security certification such as CCSP or CCNP similar certification
• Preferred  experience in Database Activity Monitoring Systems (DAM)
• BS in computer science or electrical engineering or equivalent years related experience
