Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of the basic job functions):
The position requires an experienced and well-rounded IT professional responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and repairing network infrastructure and application components while meeting company security standards. Employee will perform a wide variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation and training tasks to ensure network performance meets company and user satisfaction. Additionally, the position will provide direction, information, and recommendations regarding network configurations and installations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop network design, documentation and implementation plans for the network and corresponding technologies.
  • Implement, maintain, and configure network hardware and services, inclusive of WAN and LAN technologies, routers, switches, firewalls, web application firewalls, load balancers, servers, storage arrays, WAN optimization, telephony services, monitoring and reporting services.
  • Maintain overall infrastructure performance by analyzing, tuning and troubleshooting hardware, software and networks with a combination of tools to ensure high availability and SLA’s.
  • Provide fast and accurate operational support with the ability to quickly address a request, establish a resolution while keeping the requestor up-to-date in a timely manner.
  • Maintain backup practices and routinely test disaster recovery and backup policies and procedures to comply with recovery time and recovery point objectives.
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with internal and external peers, stakeholders, management, partners and vendors.
  • Compliance with Information Security, Incident Management, and Change Management policies are required.
  • Participate in the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure consistency with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Protect regulatory compliance status by staying up-to-date and complying with PCI, NIST and other regulatory compliance standards.
  
**The position will be located in our North Tampa corporate office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years administering and operating enterprise wide area networks, including extensive experience with Data Center, LAN, WAN, Network, Security, VoIP (H.323/SIP) solutions and architectures preferably utilizing Cisco Nexus and Catalyst technology.
     
  • 5+ years of enterprise network architecture, design and implementation with multiprotocol label switching virtual private networks (MPLS-VPN) and Multiprotocol BGP (MP-BGP).
     
  • 5+ years administering and configuring network security solutions such as firewalls, load balancers, web application firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, web filtering solutions, email gateways, and network access control (NAC) preferably with Cisco ASA\NGFW and/or Citrix NetScaler solutions.
     
  • Extensive IP network and underlying transport troubleshooting skills with strong knowledge of SD-WAN technologies such as Cisco iWAN or Viptella, EIGRP/BGP route redistribution over MPLS networks, route maps and filtering, traffic prioritization and QOS policies.
     
  • Expert experience configuring routing protocols and other network technologies such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VRF, SSL VPN, IPSEC, GRE, L2TPv3, NAT/PAT, PrF, NBAR, MPLS, QoS, STP, HSRP, VTP, VPC, VDC, OTV, Ether channel, WAN Acceleration, IPv4, IPv6.
     
  • Strong knowledge of Domain Name Service (DNS) with experience implementing and maintaining Global Load Balancing (GLBS).
     
  • In-depth server administration experience preferably with Cisco UCS blade technology.
     
  • Storage administration experience preferably utilizing 3PAR SAN technologies or other All Flash Arrays (AFA) vendors. 
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience implementing and administrating network devices and operating systems inclusive of setting and maintaining policies and security within a VMware, Windows and Linux environment. 
  • Experience implementing and supporting VoIP/IP-PBX telephone systems and infrastructures preferably Cisco Call Manager (CUCM) and Cisco Unified Contact Center (UCCX). 
  • Experience with network management systems (NMS) and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions such as Splunk, HP ArchSight, PRTG as well as other SNMP\WMI based tools.
  • In-depth experience with backup and recovery technologies such as LTO tape arrays, backup-to-disk technologies and archiving standards preferably Veeam Backup and EMC Data Domain. 
  • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO knowledge within a multi-site/multi-domain structure. 
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 technologies. 
  • Knowledge of wireless technologies such as 802.1 a/b/g/n, WPA2 and wireless intrusion prevention (WIPS) preferably with Cisco Meraki and Cisco Air Marshal. 
  • Web server administration in Microsoft IIS and Apache Tomcat webservers with strong working knowledge of cryptography and system hardening best practices.

    Work Environment
  • Works in a temperature-controlled office environment.
  • Participation in a 24×7 on-call rotation with the ability to work weekends and nights as needed.
  • Flexibility to work long hours under pressure during system outages and major implementations.
    Travel can range up to 10%.
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computer equipment and peripherals.
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify):

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field or applicable professional certification and/or two to four years relevant technical and analytical experience.

  • Analyzing, coding, documenting and testing technology products and systems.
  • Implementation and/or modification of current or new technology in order to meet business needs.
  • Applying standard methodologies and analysis to problem solving.

  • Gathering business requirements and preparing business proposals for business lines.
  • Evaluating hardware and software products and developing recommendations for management.
